Dish’s AirTV combines 4K streaming with over-the-air antenna

Dish’s latest AirTV set-top box combines Android TV, the company’s Sling TV video service, and an over-the-air antenna into one package.

With that combo, you can get local channels over the air, premium cable channels with Sling TV, and other digital content with apps from Google Play. Dish is particularly highlighting Netflix and YouTube, but any app built for the Android TV platform should work fine.

The TV comes with a Bluetooth remote with voice control built in. The remote has one-touch shortcuts to Sling, Netflix, and YouTube, and you can connect to your TV/audio systems using infrared.

As for the over-the-air setup, an antenna can be plugged into AirTV and then any channels you get are integrated into the Sling TV channel guide.

The TV’s being sold in two configurations: a $129.99 model that includes the OTA adapter kit, or a cheaper $99.99 model that only works with internet TV options. However, you can get the adapter after the fact for $39.99. AirTV is on sale now.
