Skok becomes Boston Globe parent company’s digital chief

David Skok, The Boston Globe’s digital managing editor, has been tapped to lead the Globe’s parent company’s digital efforts, including the Globe and Boston.com. He will also retain his managing editor title and responsibilities.

The promotion puts Skok at the top of each of the company’s digital businesses, according to Boston Globe Media Partners executive vice president Andrew Perlmutter.

“We believe David will be able to greatly expand upon these accomplishments with the entire operation now in his purview.”
