LG Bello II brings 5MP front camera, five-inch display to 3G markets

The LG Bello II is the successor to last year’s L Bello and features a five-inch FWVGA 854×480 display, a 5MP front-facing camera, and camera features from its premium cousins.

In addition to the aforementioned features and a 2540mAh replaceable battery, LG has also added the Gesture Shot and Selfie Flash camera features from its G Series. Gesture Shot lets users take selfies by opening and closing a hand in front of the camera, while Selfie Flash turns the phone’s display into a soft flash to create “more subtle and refined” selfies.

All of these features are packaged in a design that makes use of a Spin Hairline pattern that accents the metallic edge and a multi-layered, grooved circular pattern that creates a “unique visual effect” on the rear cover, and improves grip and texture.

“The LG Bello II brings unprecedented value to 3G markets, which still account for a significant 40 percent of smartphone markets. With its 5MP selfie camera, large display and familiar features, the LG Bello II is a great balance of form, function and price, which is why we expect to be even more successful than its predecessor.”

-Juno Cho, LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company president and CEO

The mid-range handset will arrive in key Latin American markets and India this month, followed by rollouts in Europe and the CIS throughout Q3 2015.
