The New York Times has named Elizabeth Paton as the news organization’s first full-time European Styles correspondent.
Paton previously was a fashion and luxury correspondent for the Financial Times.
“[Paton] will play an integral role in our increased coverage of global fashion, both in print and online, making us better able to respond to breaking news, whether it’s a new designer named at a venerable fashion house, yet another acquisition made by the rapidly expanding fashion conglomerates LVMH and Kering, or profiles of emerging talent in the world’s fashion capitals.”
-Staurt Emmrich, New York Times Styles editor; Vanessa Friedman, New York Times chief fashion critic
Paton will be based in London when she starts on August 10th.
