ASUS took to the IFA 2014 stage to launch several new devices, including an Android Wear-toting smartwatch, tablets and laptops.
The ASUS Zenbook UX305 ultrabook is the “world’s slimmest 13.3-inch QHD+ laptop,” measuring in at 12.3mm thin.
This ultraportable weighs 2.64 pounds and is powered by Intel’s Core M processor for “seamelss multitasking,” and features up to a 256GB SSD. The crisp and vibrant 13.3-inch display has up to a QHD+ resolution of 3200×1800. The UX305 is availalbe in sophisticated Obsidian Stone or a smooth Ceramic Alloy.
The ASUS EeeBook X205 is an “affordable, chic and compact” 11.6-inch laptop that weighs less than 2.5 pounds and is designed for students constantly on the run and young professionals. Powered by Windows 8.1 with Bing — for maximum “application compatibility — the EeeBook X205 offers a smartphone-like experience, thanks to its use of Connected Standby technology. Connected Standby enables an almost-instant resume from sleep mode and gives users always-on connectivity of social media and email — even when the X205 is in standby mode. Available in black, white, gold and red, the ASUS EeeBook X205 is designed with smooth curves and tactile surfaces to make it the ideal take-anywhere laptop.
Memo Pad 7
With a design inspired by clutch bags and wallets, the ASUS Memo Pad 7 is a thin and light seven-inch Android tablet powered by an Intel Atom 64-bit quad-core processor. Thanks to its narrow bezel, the Memo Pad 7 is just 8.3mm thin and weighs 269 grams, making it “supremely comfortable” to hold in one hand. The seven-inch Full HD IPS display had a pixel density of 323 pixels per inch and wide 178-degree viewing angles, plus ASUS’ TruVivid and Splendid technologies for enhanced clarity, brightness and accurate color reproduction.
Available in red, gold and black with subtly-textured finishes, the ASUS Memo Pad 7 can match any user’s style. The tablet features the company’s ZenUI interface that makes “complicated things easy.” The ASUS Memo Pad 7 is available in the aforementioned colors in WiFi-only and 4G LTE versions powered by an Intel XMM 7160 LTE modem that provides fast connectivity for high-speed web browsing, streaming video and music.
ProSieben Entertainment Pad
Also announced today, in a partnership between one of Europe’s largest media corporations, ProSieben and Intel, was the ProSieben Entertainment Pad, an eight-inch tablet that will be available exclusively in Germany.
The ASUS ZenWatch is the company’s first wearable device, powered by Google’s Android Wear platform and featuring a version of ASUS’ ZenUI user interface developed specifically for the watch. This device pairs with an Android smartphone running Android 4.3 or higher to provide “relevant and useful information when it is needed most,” and also to serve as a “personal wellness manager” in conjunction with the ASUS Wellness app.

ZenWatch brings is designed for “supreme comfort,” with a soft stitched-leather strap and quick-release clasp. ZenWatch also comes with a selection of instantly-changeable software watch faces, allowing users to customize ZenWatch to match their tastes.
Thanks to its integrated 9-axis sensor, ZenWatch is also a fully-featured wellness monitor. The companion ZenUI Wellness app lets user monitor and track fitness statistics like steps taken, calories burned, activity duration, heart rate, exercise intensity and relaxation level.
