CNN International has announced that Kenyan journalist Soni Methu is the new host of Inside Africa, the network’s longest-running feature program.
In her role on CNN International’s weekly shows, Methu will host from countries throughout the continent to take viewers on a journey thorughout the continent, exploring the diversity and depth of different cultures, countries and regions.
Methu joins CNN from ENCA and E News Africa, where she was their East Africa correspondent, reporting from Mombasa and Nariboi, including covering the Westgate Mall terrorist attack. During her ENCA carreer, she also reported from Somali, South Sudan, Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania, and was central to breaking key stories for the channel.
Methu will be based in CNN’s Nairobi bureau.
