BELLEVUE, Washington — T-Mobile reported fourth quarter and full year 2013 earnings Tuesday.
The company added over 1.6 million total net customers with 981,000 total branded net customer additions in the quarter. In 2013, T-Mobile added over 4.4 million total customers with over 2 million branded postpaid customers.
The telco ended the quarter with 46.7 million customers, an increase in 1.64 million total customers from the end of the third quarter of 2013.
Total revenues for Q4 2013 grew 25.2 percent year-over-year primarily due to the acquisition of MetroPCS in the quarter. Revenues are up 2.1 percent quarter-over-quarter. Total smartphone sales were a record 6.2 million units in the fourth quarter.
Service revenues in the fourth quarter of 2013 grew by 25.2 percent year-over-year primarily due to the acquisition of MetroPCS. Service revenues increased by 0.6% quarter-over-quarter primarily due to the company’s customer base growth.
